Salem College Announces New Literary Awards Guidelines

Salem College has recently posted guidelines for its newly expanded International Literary Awards. John McNally will judge the Reynolds Price Short Fiction Award, Molly Peacock will judge the Rita Dove Poetry Award, and Jennifer Niven will judge the Penelope Niven Creative Nonfiction Award. The winner of each genre will receive $1,200. Two honorable mentions in each genre will receive $150. Big money. Dan Chaon Reading at Salem Tonight Cancelled

I was looking forward to hearing Dan Chaon read tonight at Salem College, but unfortunately I just received an email from Ginger Hendricks, the director of the Center for Women Writers, saying the event is cancelled due to illness. Hopefully, I'll see him another time.
